Economic Empowerment of Women

Ankur Trust is planning to implement Various projects focused on the economic empowerment of women residing in rural areas of different districts in Tamil Nadu and also in chennai.

This initiative aims to provide sustainable opportunities for augmenting family income beyond what these women currently earn from their existing employement. Our goal is to create lasting change by equipping women with skills, resources, and support systems that enable financial independence and community development.

It is also proposed to financially support. Educational institution catering to poor and orphan students provided they have FCRA approval

Women Empowerment

Implementation Strategy

Conduct comprehensive surveys and focus group discussions to understand the specific needs, existing skills, and potential opportunities in each target community. This phase will help us tailor our programs to the unique requirements of each district.

Establish training centers to provide women with practical skills in areas such as handicrafts, food processing, tailoring, computer literacy, and small business management. Partner with local experts and institutions to deliver high-quality training programs.

Facilitate the establishment of women-led micro-enterprises and self-help groups. Provide seed funding, mentorship, and market linkage support to ensure the sustainability of these initiatives. Create systems for ongoing support and monitoring.

Expand successful models to additional communities and establish systems for long-term sustainability. Create networks of women entrepreneurs and develop partnerships with government schemes and private sector organizations to ensure continued growth and impact.
